I suggest that faculty could add a discussion topic on the home page, that allows students to post comments on typos, questions etc. This way I can track all comments for assessment purposes, and have documentation for changes to improve the course.
I like this! I try to fix my course each semester and your idea harnesses the power of those who are seeing it fresh. Too often things remain hidden to me until the students let me know. I would make this topic anonymous so students could say something without fearing any retribution.
